For me, summer is great, except for one thing -- it marks the onset of hurricane season. I'm a little nervous because the first tropical storm was already announced by the National Hurricane Center at the end of May, BEFORE hurricane season started June 1.
My home got hit by Ike last year, and Rita barely missed it. I get news announcements from the National Hurricane Center emailed to me all season long, so I can know way in advance if I need to start preparation to evacuate.
In the meantime, I'll just keep crankin out those crazy face mugs. Might as well be happy til a storm hits!
I know, nothig like some comforting words, right?
I hope you get through the season with out a scratch.
The worry was not being able to have good storm track to base a prediction on, and evacuate people if necessary.
